Job Title: Air Import Agent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Air Import Agent to join our team. The Air Import Agent will be responsible for managing the importation of goods via air freight, ensuring all import processes run smoothly, and ensuring compliance with all customs regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air import logistics, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Import Documentation: Prepare and review all necessary import documents such as airway bills, import declarations, invoices, and other customs paperwork. Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Shipment Coordination: Work closely with freight forwarders, airlines, customs brokers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Track and manage shipments from arrival at the airport to final delivery.
• Customs Compliance: Ensure all imports comply with customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws. Liaise with customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance.
• Customer Service: Maintain regular communication with customers to provide updates on the status of their shipments, resolve issues, and answer inquiries. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Problem Resolution: Address any issues related to damaged or delayed shipments, missing documentation, or other shipping problems. Provide solutions to resolve issues promptly.
• Logistics Coordination: Monitor the flow of goods and ensure proper handling of cargo throughout the import process, ensuring that shipments are delivered on time and in good condition.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control costs related to air imports, ensuring shipments are cost-effective and within budget. Negotiate with carriers and suppliers for the best rates.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all shipments, invoices, and customs documentation for future reference and compliance.
