Job Description

The Chief Growth Officer is a strategic marketing leader, with proven experience in fundraising and communications, a strong background in supporting mission-driven organizations, and a track record of leading successful fundraising and marketing campaigns.

Position Overview

One of Hawai‘i’s most respected nonprofit healthcare organizations seeks a creative and strategic Chief Growth Officer to lead efforts in marketing, fundraising, and brand development. Rooted in a mission of compassion and care, the organization provides support to individuals and families facing serious illness and end-of-life journeys. The CGO will play a critical role in advancing the organization’s mission by growing community awareness, deepening donor engagement, and strengthening internal and external communications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing and communications plans
  • Build brand awareness through content creation, media outreach, and digital campaigns
  • Lead fundraising strategy across individual giving, foundations, government sources, and events
  • Cultivate major donors and oversee stewardship activities
  • Guide internal communications and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage and mentor a team of four, including business development and philanthropy staff
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and board on growth and sustainability goals
  • Oversee budget management and campaign performance analytics

  • Experience managing staff and working cross-functionally with executive leadership
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and marketing analytics tools
  • Alignment with mission-driven work
