The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Intern to join our Consumer Insights and Market Intelligence team, focusing on reporting and data visualization. In this role, you will support the team in analyzing consumer trends, market data, and performance reports, contributing valuable insights to help guide strategic decision-making. This internship is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry, learning about how data informs brand strategy, marketing initiatives, and product development.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Extract and analyze data from various sources including Circana, Looker, and other external and internal data sources
  • Maintain dashboards, data visualizations and reports using Excel, Power BI, etc to enhance clarity on business performance and identify future opportunities
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports and presentations summarizing key insights and recommendations
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and brand management, to deliver actionable insights based on data findings
  • Assist in preparing and developing presentations of insights and recommendations to internal teams
  • Provide general support to the Analytics and Consumer Insights department, including data entry and maintaining databases and dashboards
  • Work across both Prestige and Niche brand clusters and analyze multiple categories including fragrance and makeup

We’d love to meet you if you have:

  • Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Consumer Behavior, or related fields
  • Ability to present insights clearly and effectively, both in written reports and verbal presentations
  • Comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, and an interest to learn analytical tools (Google Analytics, Power BI, or Nielsen are a plus)
  • Interest in understanding consumer/market behavior and trends, with a basic understanding of data interpretation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy in data reporting and analysis
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and in-person three days a week
  • Ability to work in-office 3 days per week Monday- Thursday and 29 hours per week

Compensation:

As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the hourly rate for this position is $20.00 an hour.
