A new opportunity from BMRS Hospitality Recruitment:
Consumer Marketing Director for Porter Hospitality | Redefining Workplace & Amenity Spaces with Radical Hospitality
Porter began as product curation, design, and procurement company servicing corporate commercial clients with decor, furniture, design services, and inspiration for their work and office spaces. The team’s first foray into hospitality, , debuted in late 2021 as a hybrid café, bar, retail shop, and meeting/event space inside their flagship Downtown Seattle showroom. The Shop provides small, independent business owners and makers a venue to introduce themselves to the market, and allows the Porter team to experience first-hand what makes people connect with their surroundings. At the pillar of Porter’s mission is Radical Hospitality : the act of going beyond what is required to bring joy and meaning to the everyday lives of clients, guests, and each other, in environments that serve, connect, and inspire.
In the wake of a global pandemic that devastated businesses in city cores nationwide and left countless commercial office and living spaces devoid of tenants, the Porter team began to ask themselves: how could they repurpose these now empty spaces to help attract and retain tenants, while reinvigorating local businesses and the communities in downtown city cores?
The answer? Activated Amenities by Porter Hospitality . Partnering with the landlords, developers, and owners of these commercial office and multi-family buildings, Porter Hospitality crafts and manages an ecosystem of bespoke, elevated amenities to turn shared spaces into thriving, magnetic communities. Drawing on their diverse team’s wealth of expertise in everything from design and construction to hospitality, Porter Hospitality offers clients a one stop shop from concept to operation – aimed at transforming community spaces into flexible resources and places where customers, teams, and residents can find joy and inspiration.
With their first account solidified and opening soon in their homebase of Seattle, the future looks bright for Porter Hospitality! Plans are already in motion for upcoming locations in Seattle and San Francisco, with the long-term goal of expanding nationwide. This is a very exciting time to join an innovative, dynamic team of diverse hospitality professionals and a one-of-a-kind opportunity to help build a national brand from the ground up!
Porter is looking for a creative, dynamic, and entrepreneurial Marketing Director to join their growing team! This is a specialized, multifaceted role that will own marketing strategy and innovation across all current and future hospitality properties, in order to strengthen the company’s market presence and give them an integrated “voice” that will make a lasting impact. Main responsibilities include strategizing and executing marketing campaigns, developing social media strategies, and working closely with the teams at all locations to create a clear brand vision.
