Controller - East Syracuse, NY | Full-Time

Position Summary

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, including the preparation of financial statements, internal controls, audits, and financial reporting processes. This role will also lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts while managing and mentoring the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate, GAAP-compliant internal and external financial statements (both standalone and consolidated)
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across multiple entities
  • Oversee internal controls, audits, and compliance initiatives
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes
  • Manage and develop the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
  • Drive financial process improvements, system upgrades, and reporting standardization
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and operational teams on financial strategy and decision-making

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in financial leadership roles; experience in a multi-entity environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience with intercompany transactions and consolidated financial statements
  • Background in accounting system and ERP implementations
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, team development, and communication abilities
  • CPA certification required
