So, what will the Entry Level Paralegal at Terrestris do?

As an entry-level paralegal, you will assist our clients by performing a variety of tasks, including research, contract development, document preparation, and client communication. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to start a career in the legal field, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to a dynamic team.

What does a typical day look like for the Entry Level Paralegal?

You will:

  • Assist in conducting research on regulations, and other legal issues relevant to the case or contract at hand.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including contracts and letters of correspondence.
  • Ensure that all documents are complete, accurate, and properly formatted.
  • Organize and maintain files, both electronic and paper.
  • Monitor deadlines for the submission of documentation.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates on progress, and respond to general inquiries, under the supervision of senior team members.
  • Prepare and submit legal filings with courts, government agencies, or other relevant entities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing summaries or reports.

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the legal professional we're looking for if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies or a related field OR a combination of education and experience including an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a Paralegal Certificate AND a minimum of (5) years' experience in a legal setting, such as court reporting or JAG office support.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
