Field Service Engineer - Chandler, AZ
Leading Global Manufacturer is looking for a Field Service Engineer to mainly service the following locations: Chandler, AZ and immediate outlying area
Job Description:
The basic function of this position: Installation, training, repair, and implementation of retrofits on the complete line products. Candidate must be a US citizen.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Product lines at domestic US customers. Work directly with customers to understand and rapidly diagnose equipment problems. Produce concise, comprehensive, and accurate documentation of test reports and work instructions Provide diagnostic information, repair procedures and specific technical assistance to distributors and/or customers. Perform root cause failure analysis on sub-systems, circuits, and components in a timely manner. Create and assist in the release of Engineering documentation including bill or materials, engineering change orders, corrective action reports, and operational method sheets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years’ experience in trouble-shooting electrical, electronic, mechanical systems. This includes root cause identification and problem solving.
Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Windows Applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel to customer facilities (up to 80% of time) and work weekends as critical needs arise.
Ability to travel internationally on occasion to support global customers.
Proficiency is Spanish Language is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years working as an engineering technician or field service engineer.
AS in Engineering, Technology or equivalent preferred
Compensation:
Base - market competitive depending on experience.
Overtime eligible
