About The Role

We’re seeking a scrappy, entrepreneurial leader to build and lead our Renewables Investment Banking vertical. This is more than a leadership role — it’s an opportunity to create something from the ground up. You’ll originate, structure, and execute transformative transactions across solar, battery storage, EV infrastructure, carbon markets, and climate tech. Key Responsibilities:

• Client Origination & Relationship Building: Cultivate deep relationships with developers, infrastructure funds, strategics, and emerging tech companies across the renewables ecosystem.
• Deal Execution: Lead M&A, project finance, and capital raising transactions from inception to close.
• Team Building: Build out the renewables vertical — hiring, training, and setting the cultural tone for your team.
• Collaboration with Asset Management: Partner with Forest Road Asset Management to identify co-investment opportunities.
• Market Leadership: Help define Forest Road’s sustainability investment strategy and represent the firm as a thought leader in the market.
• Player-Coach Mentality: Be hands-on — from cold calling founders to modeling deals to pitching investors — all in a day’s work.

Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years of experience in investment banking, project finance, or infrastructure investing with a focus on renewables.
• Proven track record of originating and closing deals in lean or entrepreneurial environments.
• Expertise in distributed generation (DG) solar and battery storage at both the asset and corporate levels with deep relationships in the space
• Strong industry relationships and commercial instincts for identifying emerging opportunities in renewables.
• Exceptional modeling and deal execution skills — you can still roll up your sleeves.
• Mission-driven mindset with a team-first attitude and no ego.
