Job Title: Contract Staff Attorney (Business Immigration)

Location: Remote – but must be licensed and live in MI, DC, or IL

Schedule: Full-time during regular business hours

Pay Rate: $60-$70/hour

Assignment: Temporary 3+ month W2 contract

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Contract Staff Attorney to join our client's Business Immigration Practice Group on a temporary contract basis. This role involves preparing complex nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions for national and multinational clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare various visa petitions, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, and EB-1 categories.
• Support the PERM labor certification process across diverse industries.
• Research and review agency guidance, cases, regulations, and statutes related to immigration.
• Interact with clients, governmental agencies, and other law firms.
• Deliver high-quality work and communicate effectively within the firm.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and efficient work habits.
• Continuously improve knowledge and skills through formal and informal training.
• Collaborate with practice group members to serve clients effectively.

Qualifications:

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited institution.
• Licensed in Illinois, Michigan, or Washington, D.C.
• 3+ years of recent business immigration experience working in a US law firm.
• Ability to prepare accurate petitions and documents with limited supervision.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Utilize immigration case management systems with ease.
