Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Commercial Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in space planning, interior design, and product specification, along with experience using industry-standard software. You will play a key role in translating client needs into intelligent, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing office environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales and project management teams to understand client requirements and develop effective workspace designs.
  • Create accurate floor plans that maximize functionality and reflect workplace wellness principles.
  • Use AutoCAD, GIZA, CAP Studio, and Visual Impressions to produce detailed layouts, 3D renderings, and product specifications.
  • Assist in selecting office furniture and finishes that align with the client’s goals, branding, and budget.
  • Revise designs based on feedback and ensure final plans are ready for quotation and implementation.
  • Support the transition from design to project management by preparing comprehensive design packages for quotation and order entry.
  • Stay informed on current design trends, product lines, and workplace standards.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or previous experience.
  • Experience in commercial or office interior design.
  • Familiarity with furniture specification and manufacturer catalogs.
  • Understanding of project life cycles from design through installation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIZA, CAP Studio, and Visual Impressions (or similar design software).
  • Strong understanding of space planning principles and commercial furniture systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions.
