Sheets & Crossfield, PLLC is a local government law firm, located in Round Rock, looking for a legal assistant to join our firm.
Job summary: Full-time litigation and administrative support to assigned condemnation attorneys and paralegals. Perform legal assistant duties in a fast-paced firm.
Responsibilities
Prepare, proofread and maintain detailed legal documents
Prepare and respond to discovery requests
Schedule and maintain multiple calendars including docket control calendar
Track and enter billing information
Open and maintain files
Spreadsheet data entry, tracking, cloud sharing and management
AV/Webcall/PowerPoint setup and management (for hearings)
E-file in various courts
Skills
Excellent writing ability
Complex problem solving
Good time management
Work well with a legal team
Familiarity with some legal terminology
Attention to detail
Ability to work within strict deadlines
Must know Microsoft Office
Experience/Education
High school graduation required; some college preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant preferred
