Job Description

Position Purpose and Objectives

The Performance Email Marketer optimizes and executes high-performing email marketing campaigns that drive engagement, conversions, and revenue. This individual will be responsible for designing, testing, and analyzing email strategies while leveraging automation, segmentation, and personalization to maximize performance. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and technical expertise to scale email campaigns effectively.

Essential Job Functions

  • Plan, develop, and execute high-impact email marketing campaigns focused on customer retention, engagement, and acquisition.
  • Utilize A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization to optimize email performance and drive conversions.
  • Design and implement automated email workflows, including welcome sequences, abandoned cart, re-engagement, and upsell campaigns.
  • Analyze campaign performance using key email metrics (CTR, open rates, bounce rates, and conversions) and optimize based on insights.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to create compelling email copy and visuals
  • Ensure email templates are mobile-friendly and adhere to brand guidelines
  • Manage email deliverability, reduce spam rates, and maintain compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other email regulations.
  • Work closely with CRM and marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp) to enhance email strategy.
  • Continuously monitor trends, competitor strategies, and industry best practices to refine email marketing efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Proven experience in performance-driven email marketing with a focus on conversion optimization.
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics, A/B testing tools, and performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with SAP
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customization (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with email list segmentation, automation, and drip campaigns.
  • Understanding of email deliverability best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with a focus on persuasive and conversion-oriented messaging.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and data-driven mindset.
