# of Hours : 40 Hours per week (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, M-F with one weekend every 4 weeks)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform and assist with daily operations, testing, and maintenance at a 450,000 gallon/day wastewater treatment plant, two small wastewater treatment plants, and related collection systems in the Fivepointville / Bowmansville, Pennsylvania area. A wastewater treatment license is not required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Operation of portable and stationary pumps, collection of samples, process control analysis, recording and entry of data, plant washdowns, grounds maintenance, preventive maintenance, planned maintenance and emergency repairs. The position requires the employee to work one weekend and be on call 24 hours a day for one week, every four weeks.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Skills Beneficial to Position:
· Wastewater treatment plant operation and process control
· Ability to follow standard operation procedures and safety protocols
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as well as climb up/down ladders
· Experience with:
o Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and programmable logistic controls
o Industrial equipment and machinery
o Hand and power tools
Licenses/Certifications:
· Valid PA Driver’s License, Class C
· A wastewater license is not required for this position
Residence location:
· Employee must be able to be on-site within 60 minutes of being notified of an alarm during their on-call schedule
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is frequently performed alone and may be performed inside, around noisy equipment, or outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Work is performed around a variety of potentially hazardous mechanical and electrical equipment.
