Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project specifications.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to assess potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for work.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to review design documents and provide input on constructability and material selection.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to source materials and negotiate vendor contracts.
  • Manage the preconstruction team, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, project managers, and construction teams to ensure seamless project handover to the execution phase.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project delays and budget overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and building codes during the preconstruction phase.
  • Prepare and present preconstruction reports and updates to senior management and clients.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to optimize project collaboration.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry or construction management, with a focus on preconstruction phases.
  • Proven experience in project estimation, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and practices in construction.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or similar credential is preferred.
