As an active team member in Public Finance, analysts assist bankers in capital raising, debt portfolio and credit analyses, strategic advisory services, market assessments for governmental, not-for-profit and/or developer clients, and rating agency processes.

Public Finance Associate

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of public finance experience to join their Finance Practice Group in Chicago, Detroit, Houston, or Milwaukee. This practice focuses on Healthcare Finance, Economic Development, Housing, TIF and Special Assessment, Infrastructure, and Education. Attorneys represent borrowers, issuers, financial institutions, and governmental entities in public finance transactions.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-approved law school
• 3-5 years of experience as bond counsel, lender’s counsel, and/or disclosure counsel
• Knowledge of tax, securities, contract law, and UCC as it relates to public finance
• Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Good standing and active bar membership, with timely bar admission in the jurisdiction of hire
