Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring Senior Accountant with at least 3 years of previous experience for a newly created, hybrid opportunity with a growing company in Virginia.

Responsibilities include month-end close, performing complex reconciliations, conducting monthly analysis, and preparing financial statements and reports. Exciting opportunity to join a growing firm!

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly accounting functions including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare financial statements and review for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct monthly analysis and provide insights on variances.
• Handle operational accounting functions including vendor management, expense reporting and payment runs.
• Provide support for the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance and maintain the internal control environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline
• CPA or CPA progress preferred
• Minimum 3+ years of related experience
• Sharp Excel and systems skills

Skills:

• Excellent analytical skills with a strong sense of urgency
• Great attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary: $80-110k
