Management Consultants and Trainers - United States
We Engage (see: ) is a global management consulting company which specializes in increasing Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) for our clients. We are seeking experienced management consultants, including operating system installers, management trainers and skills trainers. Contract roles in eight (8) locations throughout the United States and Canada are available. Work commences in late April and early May 2025. The initial contract duration will be about 17 calendar weeks. Contract rates are negotiable.
Candidates will have successful manufacturing, engineering, packaging or mining backgrounds and be comfortable working directly with operators and production staff in an industrial setting. Our company is partnering in a global transition program for a well known global manufacturing company (based in the United States) throughout 2025 and 2026. This program is the first of several global rollout programs in the US, Europe and South America across 70 sites.
Responsibilities
The work will require the development and implementation of effective management operating system elements designed to increase productivity and the Economic Profit (EP) of our client's organization. Applicants should be well versed in constraints management and lean principles, as well as in the use of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) measure. Most systems elements have already been defined in a successful pilot program in the US.
Responsibilities include installing Operating Systems, Maintenance Management Systems, Quality Management Systems and lifting Throughput Speeds and Mechanical Availability. Improving Capacity Utilization and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) are a key focus, together with Production Planning & Scheduling. Applicants should be 'self-starters' who are adept at working effectively without direct supervision.
Qualifications
The essential requirement is a history of working successfully in Management Systems Installation and Change Management within the manufacturing industry. Educational qualifications in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) are highly valued (but not necessary). We welcome a wide range of tertiary education qualifications. Strong references are also highly valued.
