Mechanical Engineer (ANSYS/FEA experience)

Locations: Charlotte NC, Stonington CT, or Williamsburg VA

Project/Work Scope: Mechanical Engineering support - Position can be supported remote with several trips to various sites per quarter

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer who has 20+ years of experience with the ANSYS program and FEA in a nuclear setting.

Educational / Experience Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering degree.

Experience with mechanical stress programs a must

Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain mechanical systems and components.
• Create and evaluate mechanical systems using CAD software and simulation tools.
• Establish specifications and technical requirements for mechanical equipment and materials.
• Select suitable materials, components, and suppliers.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Develop engineering solutions.
• Manage facility equipment operations, maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
• Evaluate current systems and propose engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
• Manage facility equipment operations, maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
