Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

ServiceNow Development and Customization:
Develop, design, and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows based on business requirements. Create custom applications, forms, fields, UI policies, business rules, and other components within the platform.

Integrations:
Design and implement integrations with third-party tools, systems, and services (e.g., APIs, web services) to ensure seamless data exchange across platforms.

Automation:
Develop and automate processes using ServiceNow's workflow editor, orchestration, and other automation tools to improve operational efficiency.

Incident, Problem, and Change Management:
Implement and configure ServiceNow ITSM modules such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Request Management. Ensure smooth workflows and user-friendly interfaces.

User Interface Development:
Develop and optimize ServiceNow user interfaces (UI), including Service Catalog items, knowledge management pages, dashboards, and portals, ensuring a user-friendly experience.

Customization and Configuration:
Customize and configure ServiceNow to meet the specific needs of the organization, including form design, scripting, and user role management.

Scripting and Development:
Use JavaScript, GlideScript, and other programming languages to write business rules, client scripts, and custom server-side logic for enhanced functionality.

ServiceNow Upgrades and Maintenance:
Perform regular system maintenance, handle platform upgrades, and troubleshoot performance issues. Ensure that the platform stays updated with new features and patches.

Testing and Debugging:
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of code to ensure that it works as expected. Implement and follow best practices for code deployment and testing.

Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate with other IT teams, stakeholders, and business analysts to gather requirements and provide updates on development progress. Document technical processes, configurations, and any customizations made to the platform.

Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents within ServiceNow. Assist users and other IT staff with platform-related questions and issues.

Reporting and Dashboards:
Develop and manage reports and dashboards to provide business insights. Help users analyze service performance and operational data.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

ServiceNow Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform development and customization, including scripting, integrations, and application development.

ServiceNow Certifications:
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or other relevant certifications like Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) for specific modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, etc.).

Programming Skills:
Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, and other relevant languages for ServiceNow development. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs for integrations.

Knowledge of ITIL Processes:
Strong understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes and how they are implemented within ServiceNow.

Customization & Configuration:
Experience with ServiceNow platform components such as Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and Workflows.

Database and Reporting Skills:
Familiarity with ServiceNow's database structure and reporting tools. Ability to create custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations in ServiceNow.

Problem Solving:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve technical problems efficiently.

Collaboration & Communication:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

Advanced Scripting:
Experience with advanced ServiceNow scripting, including creating complex workflows, custom applications, and integrations.

Cloud Experience:
Familiarity with cloud technologies and cloud-based service management practices.

Agile Methodology:
Experience working in an Agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

ServiceNow Administration:
Experience with ServiceNow administrative tasks, such as managing users, roles, access control, and data security.

Education & Experience:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:
2-5 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
