Job Description

Our client is German owned manufacturer of automated machinery that is used in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. They have an excellent reputation in the industry and a wonderful team made up of people who are passionate about the products they make. This role is a contract position that will run through the end of the year in their Rockaway, NJ location.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare and follow-up on quotes based on customer requests including researching & identification of parts
• Generate new spare parts sales orders in SAP including picking & packing slips for preparation of shipping
• Occasional assistance to warehouse personnel that includes picking of processed orders, processing shipments via shipping software, receiving inbound shipments i.e. stock replenishment, office supplies, customer returns, etc.
• Notify claims department in Germany for improper inbound stock, defective goods, warranty orders, etc.
• Put stock away including maintaining warehouse/tower location in SAP
• Work with UE department to process internal machine rebuild orders including calculating costs when necessary and assisting in researching of parts
• Obtain proof of deliveries of completed customer orders in filing cabinets
• Prepare and provide open order reports when necessary to customers
• Process invoices after customer orders have shipped
• Process customer backorders via SAP system

Qualifications include:

• Knowledge of SAP
• Basic knowledge of industrial machinery and parts
• Knowledge of Microsoft products i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Customer service skills
• Sales experience
• Communication skills both internal and external

Working conditions

Working conditions include daily interaction with customers from various companies that can be challenging and demanding on all levels. Demanding and challenging conditions pertaining to meeting deadlines and delivery dates for customers.

Physical requirements

Occasional lifting of light to moderate boxes/packages.
