We're looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist to join our Onboarding team. In this role, you will collaborate with the Onboarding Specialists to provide initial bookkeeping services to new clients, create and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for bookkeeping, and ensure a smooth transition of clients to the maintenance bookkeeping team.
You will play a crucial part in enhancing the client experience by addressing unique processes and handling parts of catch-up bookkeeping. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, solve complex accounting challenges, and contribute to the ongoing success of our services.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Onboarding team to provide initial bookkeeping services for new clients.
Create, document, and implement bookkeeping SOPs to standardize processes.
Ensure seamless handoff of clients to the maintenance bookkeeping team.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex accounting and data integration challenges for clients.
Lead and support a team in ensuring consistency and accuracy in job costing, categorization, and reconciliation.
Guide clients through their account setups, optimizing their experience with our services.
Transition companies to ongoing maintenance bookkeeping services smoothly.
Communicate effectively with clients to explain intricate accounting data and resolve queries.
Continuously contribute to improving the automation and business intelligence systems used for bookkeeping.
Ideal Candidate
Strong problem-solver who can break down complex challenges and find innovative solutions.
Skilled in managing accounting data and integrating it with client systems.
Experienced in both cash and accrual-based accounting with a preference for multi-client experience.
Proficient in financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and U.S. GAAP compliance.
Comfortable working with AI-driven accounting systems and eager to drive improvements in automated processes.
Excellent communicator, able to simplify complex accounting topics for clients.
Have 5+ years of public accounting experience, ideally with small businesses and complex bookkeeping tasks.
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field (preferred).
