Under direct supervision, the candidate must be able to work with a team of production engineers and new product development groups to develop new production tooling designs and solutions to existing tooling problems using CAD software. These new designs and changes will then be released by the designer into the company database using PLM software. This candidate must also provide technical assistance to the tooling fabrication department.
Required Skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
*Create 3D solid models and drawings using parametric software, preferably CREO.
*Thorough understanding of current Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing practices.
*Ability to take measurements using basic tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
*Experience with PLM software, preferably Teamcenter.
*Knowledge of many manufacturing processes.
*Ability to problem solve.
*Able to handle multiple projects at any time.
*Experience with Microsoft office tools; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams.
Required Education
*Bachelor's degree in design, manufacturing or industrial engineering and a minimum of 2 years and preferred 4-6 years of experience with complex production tooling design.
