Market Express, based in Portland, Oregon, was founded in July of 2016 when a dynamic team of transportation executives identified the need for a high caliber carrier in specific market areas. While we are predominantly a West Coast carrier, our business partnerships have grown to include Denver Colorado and points east. Our focus is on dry van freight, but we do offer refrigerated services as our customer demand requires. The ideal Driver Recruiter must be self-motivated, approachable, and professional with excellent phone and communication skills. The primary focus of the position is to attract, screen, qualify, and make contingent offers of employment to qualifying potential candidates who meet company hiring criteria. • Connect with prospective drivers who have expressed interest in Market Express • Interview, qualify and help the driver navigate the hiring process • Conduct background investigation and verify provided information is correct and accurate • Assist in all activities related to the driver outreach, recruiting, and retention efforts • Function as a proactive driver advocate and liaison with other departments in the company • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure successful orientation and hand off to operations Requirements: • 1 or more years in the transportation industry is required • 1 or more years of recruiting, sales, or customer service experience required • Working knowledge of ATS is preferred • Working knowledge of current FMCSA regulations as it pertains to driver qualification and DOT compliance is preferred • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Strong organizational skills • Flexibility to respond to candidates outside of normal office hours by call or text Benefits: • Health/Dental/Vision Insurance • Life Insurance • Paid time off • 401(k)
