Job Description

HIM Manager/Supervisor

Location: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management
  • Supervision of subordinate staff
  • Team coordination and motivation
  • Staff training and development
  • Delegating tasks and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Conflict resolution and maintaining positive working relationships
  • Time Management and Organizational Skills
  • Prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely completion of daily processes and reports
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Efficiently organizing documentation and correspondence processing
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Identifying and addressing inefficiencies or issues within workflows
  • Making informed decisions based on data and performance metrics
  • Communication Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication, especially with external contacts such as insurance companies, auditors, and government agencies
  • Addressing sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to clearly communicate policies, procedures, and performance expectations
  • Quality Assurance and Process Improvement
  • Ensuring that departmental processes align with standards and policies (Following Workflow)
  • Conducting regular audits of procedures and ensuring compliance
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in imaging and scanning software and systems
  • EPIC (Plus not necessary)
  • Excel experience a must (Intermediate Level)
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Building and maintaining relationships with various levels of management, staff, and external contacts
  • Collaborative approach to resolving problems and meeting goals
  • Compliance Knowledge
  • Understanding and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, including HIPAA
  • Working with insurance representatives, auditors, and regulatory bodies to resolve compliance-related issues

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in leadership or supervising role.
  • Experience in Epic or Onbase systems preferred.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively lead a team.
