Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Security Architect Consultant to enhance the Master e-File (MeF) system in line with a forward-thinking architectural approach. As the primary point of contact for all security-related decisions, you will be responsible for proactively addressing security vulnerabilities, offering strategic recommendations, and ensuring the security of various applications within the system.
In this role, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to strengthen the overall security posture and help improve DevSecOps maturity. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in security architecture, a deep understanding of federal security standards, and excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and extend security architectures for the Master e-File (MeF) system.
Provide strategic recommendations and solutions, particularly regarding the migration of MeF to containers and the Cloud.
Lead team efforts for security vulnerability remediation and address customer requests.
Attend meetings and offer expert guidance on the security of the Portal hosting MeF applications.
Ensure all contractual deliverables are created and maintained according to IRS templates.
Provide Level of Effort (LoE) estimates for Impact Assessments and VROMs.
Drive the implementation of DevSecOps practices within the MeF system.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
CISSP Certification.
8 years of experience in developing security architectures for large, complex programs, in collaboration with various stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors.
8 years of experience leading teams of architects and developers.
5 years of experience in security architecture for applications deployed in the Cloud.
5 years of experience in security architecture for applications running in containers.
4 years of experience with:
Developing security solutions for AWS GovCloud.
Microservices security.
Architecting Spring Boot applications.
Enhancing Portal architecture.
Developing DevSecOps solutions on complex projects.
Working within a Linux platform.
Using CM tools such as IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) and Git SCM.
3 years of experience in developing (V)ROM estimates for new work.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience in developing requirements and architecting solutions for monitoring systems.
Familiarity with relational database technologies.
Knowledge of CMMI Level 3 Process Areas.
Experience with Agile Lean methodologies.
Experience with Azure and Google Cloud for Government.
Experience with WebMethods, ESB, API Gateways, Event-Driven Architecture, and Kafka.
Familiarity with Ping Identity.
