Job Description
Are you passionate about shaping secure, scalable IT systems? We're seeking an experienced Security Architect Consultant to play a key role in enhancing the Master e-File (MeF) system and aligning it with future state architecture. This position requires a proactive individual with expertise in federal security standards and strong collaboration skills.
Clearance Requirement:
An active IRS MBI or Public Trust Clearance is required to be considered for this role.
What You'll Do
As the primary point of contact for all security-related decisions, you will:
Design and extend security solution architectures for the MeF system.
Recommend security solutions and strategies for migrating MeF to containers and the Cloud.
Address security vulnerabilities identified in scanning reports and oversee remediation efforts.
Guide the implementation of DevSecOps practices to improve the MeF system's security maturity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and effective operations.
Provide Level of Effort (LoE) estimates for Impact Assessments and ROM estimates.
Prepare and maintain contractual deliverables in alignment with federal standards.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
CISSP Certification (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
8+ years of experience developing security architectures for large, complex systems.
8+ years of experience leading teams of architects and/or developers.
5+ years of experience:
Designing security architecture for Cloud-based applications.
Developing security solutions for containerized applications.
4+ years of experience with:
AWS GovCloud security solutions.
Microservices security.
Architecting Spring Boot applications.
Enhancing portal architectures.
Linux platform and configuration management tools (e.g., Git SCM, IBM Engineering Workflow Management).
Developing DevSecOps solutions for complex projects.
3+ years of experience creating (V)ROM estimates for new project work.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of relational database technologies.
Experience with Agile Lean methodologies and CMMI Level 3 Process Areas.
Familiarity with Azure and Google Cloud for government applications.
Hands-on experience with tools like WebMethods, API Gateways, Kafka, and Event-Driven Architecture.
Expertise in Ping Identity and security monitoring solutions.
